Your First Visit to Our Leland Practice

You should probably reserve about an hour for your first visit.  Once you arrive, you'll be greeted by name by our friendly, caring staff and asked to fill out a brief health history questionnaire.  If you are filing health insurance, please bring your most recent insurance card. You'll be given a tour of the office to help you feel more comfortable and then you'll watch a 5 minute introductory video.

Then you'll meet Dr. Cromshaw.  He will review the information you've provided and discuss any special concerns you have.  Dr. Cromshaw will perform a thorough chiropractic examination.  You will also likely have two scans done on our Insight Subluxation Station® to help determine your level of nervous system function (don't worry, the scans are painless!).  Then it's likely that x-rays will be taken to determine how much structural damage your spine may have experienced.

In some cases, Dr. Cromshaw will elect to begin your treatment that day and in other cases, all of your test results will need to be reviewed more thoroughly and you'll receive your first treatment on your next visit.

We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

Leland chiropractic patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Next, what to expect at your second chiropractic appointment.

Dr. Gil Asks some important questions of interest to Leland residents - Chiropractor Leland Dr. Gil Asks...

What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
What's your plan to deal with drug-resistant 'super germs'?
Chiropractors have always been concerned with the indiscriminate use of antibiotics, accelerating the mutation of microbes that make "wonder" drugs increasingly ineffective. My strategy? Do everything possible to bolster my immune system through proper diet, rest, exercise, clean air, pure water and an optimally functioning nervous system with regular chiropractic care.
